W latach 2009-2019 studiował historię sztuki i historię kultury na Wydziale Filozoficznym na Uniwersytecie Ostrawskim, gdzie również uzyskał stopień doktora z zakresu historii kultury. Pracuje jako samodzielny kurator i prodziekan na Wydziale Pedagogicznym na Uniwersytecie Ostrawskim, a także jako wykładowca akademicki na Katedrze Edukacji Artystycznej na tym samym wydziale. Obecnie mieszka i pracuje w Ostrawie i Ostrawicy.Poeta, powieściopisarz, kurator, teoretyk sztuki współczesnej i samouk w dziedzinie sztuki – Tomáš Koudela (czasami piszący pod pseudonimem Jan Vrak) na przełomie lat 80. i 90. ubiegłego stulecia pracował jako redaktor, potem edytor w hawierzowskim magazynie Revue, następnie podjął pracę w wydawnictwie M.U.K.L. W 1992 został współzałożycielem ołomunieckiego wydawnictwa Votobia, gdzie objął kierownicze stanowisko i był dyrektorem do roku 2005. W swojej twórczości poświęcił się poezji wilualnej. W jego pracach tekst staje się wizualną materią ponownie dopasowaną do oryginalnej treści oraz do nowych kontekstów znaczeniowych.

Since 2009, he studied Art History and Cultural History at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava, where he finished his Ph.D. study of cultural history last year. He works as an assistant professor at the Department of Art Education at the Faculty of Education of the University of Ostrava and as an independent curator of Czech contemporary art. He currently lives and works in Ostrava and Ostravice.Koudela is a poet, prose writer, curator, contemporary art theorist and art autodidact. He (sometimes using the pseudonym Jan Vrak) at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s worked as an editor in the Havířov Revue, then he worked for M.U.K.L, a publishing house. In 1992, he participated in founding the Votobia publishing house in Olomouc, where he held a leading position until 2005. In his fine art work he devotes himself to visual poetry. Text becomes a visual material readjusted from original contents to new meaning contexts.
