10. Pavel Forman

W latach 1997–2001 studiował na Uniwersytecie Palackiego w Ołomuńcu. Od 2002 r. uczęszczał na wykłady z nowej literatury niemieckiej, a także kultury Azji Południowej na Uniwersytecie Humboldtów w Berlinie. Z powodzeniem ukończył studia na prestiżowym berlińskim Universität der Künste w 2006 roku. W 2015 roku uzyskał tytuł doktora na Wydziale Pedagogicznym na Uniwersytecie Palackiego w Ołomuńcu. Forman żyje oraz tworzy w Pradze i Ostrawie. Obrazy Formana charakteryzują się bogactwem kształtów i wyrafinowaną agresywnością kolorystyczną. Jego lista tematów jest obszerna. Można w niej odnaleźć ikoniczne i bezimienne postaci czeskiej i europejskiej historii traktowane jako wielkoformatowa kompozycyjna parafraza i wizualna pragmatyka, a także jako gest wszelkich możliwych systemów semantycznych, inspirowane sztuką pop artu i street artu.

Pavel Forman studied in Olomouc at Palacky University between 1997 and 2001. He attended lectures about new German literature and South Asian culture at Humboldt University since 2002. He graduated at the prestigious Universität der Künste in Berlin in 2006. He finished his PhD studies at the Faculty of Education of Palacky University, Olomouc in 2015. Now he teaches painting at the Faculty of Education of Ostrava University. Forman works and lives in Prague and Ostrava. Diversity of shapes and sophisticated colourful aggression is characteristic for Forman’s artwork. The thematic list is extensive; it includes iconic and nameless characters of Czech and European history handled as a large-format visual paraphrase of composition and gestures of multifa-rious sign systems, inspired by pop art and street art.
