W latach 1995–2002 studiował u prof. Jiřího Načeradskiego w FaVU VUT w Brnie, gdzie w 2000 roku poszerzył swoje studia na Facultad de Bellas Artes, Castilla la Mancha, Cuenca w Hiszpanii. Swoje kwalifikacje podwyższył ukończeniem doktoratu w 2017 roku na ASP we Wrocławiu w Polsce u prof. Pawła Jarodzkiego. Obecnie pracuje na Katedrze Malarstwa na Wydziale Artystycznym na Uniwersytecie Ostrawskim. Autor mieszka i pracuje w Ostrawie. Jest malarzem ze średniego pokolenia. Nie szuka granic malarstwa, ale wypełnia jego granice wyrazistą koncepcją. Maluje postacie, portrety, wnętrza i formy abstrakcyjne. Urzeka bogactwem kształtów, ich strukturą i kolorem. W swoich obrazach w pełni stosuje i rozwija swoją fascynację. Jego postacie czy portrety nie są opisowym realizmem, ale malowane są z oczywistą przyjemnością, gdzie stosuje dziwne kształty, bogate faktury, dynamiczne zmiany, niezwyczajne płaszczyzny, nagłe metamorfozy, ale też tajemniczość i napięcie. Malarstwo autora można również postrzegać jako wyraziste theatrum mundi, a przede wszystkim jako krytyczną refleksję nad napiętym indywidualizmem, maniakalnym egoizmem i odwróconym obliczem współczesnej cywilizacji.

He studied under Professor Jiří Načeradský at Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno between 1995 and 2002. He also studied in Spain at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cuenca and he completed his studies in 2017 at ASP Wroclaw in Poland (prof. Pawel Jarodzki). He currently works at the Department of Painting, Faculty of Arts, University of Ostrava. The author lives and works in Ostrava. Kuděla is a middle-generation painter. He does not examine the boundaries of this classical medium, but he fulfils its limits with an original concept. He paints figures, portraits, interiors, and abstract forms. He is impressed by the richness of shapes, their structure and colour. His fascination is fully applied and developed in his paintings. His characters or portraits are not descriptive realism, but they are painted with obvious enjoyment – wild shapes, rich textures, dynamic transformations, unusual surfaces, sudden metamorphoses, but also secrets and tension. We can also view Kudela‘s painting as a distinctive theatrum mundi and, above all, as a critical reflection of tense individualism, manic egoism and the dark face of contemporary civilization.
