Absolwent PWSSP w Łodzi, dyplom z malarstwa obronił w pracowni prof. Stanisława Fijałkowskiego. Studiował także filozofię na Uniwersytecie Łódzkim. Laureat Grand Prix Bielskiej Jesieni w 1997 roku.
Wystawiał m.in. w Muzeum Sztuki w Łodzi, Atlasie Sztuki, Galerii Bon a Tirer w Nowym Jorku, Zachęcie, Muzeum Narodowym w Poznaniu, Galerii Wschodniej w Łodzi. Brał udział w wielu wystawach zbiorowych: Mediation Biennale; Motiva (Wiedeń); International Biennale of Art (Fukushima); Poles/Kutuplar (Galeria Empires, Istambuł). Kurator wystaw m.in. Biografie rzeczy w Muzeum Historii Żydów Polskich Polin w Warszawie, Piękny Prawdomówny z okazji 100-lecia urodzin Stanisława Fijałkowskiego w Muzeum Sztuki w Łodzi. Kieruje Pracownią Imperatywu Malarskiego na Wydziale Sztuk Pięknych ASP w Łodzi. Od 2016 profesor zwyczajny sztuk plastycznych.
Dr K. Cichoń Instytut Historii Sztuki Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego: Leder konsekwentnie maluje sytuacje elementarne. Elementarne w ścisłym tego słowa znaczeniu. (…) Maluje elementarne, jakościowe istotności. Maluje nie przejmując się, czy mieszczą się one w tym, co zwykliśmy nazywać jakościami fizycznymi czy już meta- fizycznymi. Leder to malarz, który przy pomocy najprostszych posunięć, mikroskopijnych sygnatur, stara się budować płaszczyzny wprowadzające w zdumienie, problematyzujące pewność, że na własne oczy, dokładnie widzimy jak jest . To osadza nas w realistycznej perspektywie patrzenia na świat. Daje poczucie pewności i bezpieczeństwa.(…)Jednym z najważniejszych dla niego nauczycieli był Stanisław Fijałkowski, uczeń Władysława Strzemińskiego. Jest więc Leder dobrze osadzony w awangardowej, łódzkiej tradycji (…) nadal podpowiadającej, że warto dalej, bardziej tak daleko, jak się da, wychylać się poza granice tego co ustalone, oswojone.
A graduate of the State Higher School of Fine Arts (PWSSP) in Łódź, where he received his diploma in painting from the studio of Professor Stanisław Fijałkowski. He also studied philosophy at the University of Łódź. In 1997, he was awarded the Grand Prix at the Bielska Jesień Painting Biennial.
His work has been exhibited at, among others, the Museum of Art in Łódź, Atlas Sztuki, Bon a Tirer Gallery in New York, Zachęta – National Gallery of Art in Warsaw, the National Museum in Poznań, and Galeria Wschodnia in Łódź. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including the Mediation Biennale, Motiva in Vienna, the International Biennale of Art in Fukushima, and Poles/Kutuplar at Galeria Empires in Istanbul.
He has also curated numerous exhibitions, including Biographies of Things at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw and Beautiful, Truthful (Piękny Prawdomówny), marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Stanisław Fijałkowski, at the Museum of Art in Łódź. He heads the Painting Imperative Studio at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Since 2016, he has held the title of Full Professor of Fine Arts.

Leder consistently paints elemental situations — elemental in the strictest sense of the word. (…) He paints elementary, qualitative entities. He does so without concern for whether they belong to what we commonly call physical qualities or have already entered the realm of the metaphysical. Leder is a painter who, through the simplest gestures and microscopic signatures, seeks to construct surfaces that inspire astonishment and call into question our certainty that we see, with our own eyes and with absolute precision, the way things are. This places us within a realistic perspective of looking at the world. It gives us a sense of certainty and security. (…) One of his most important teachers was Stanisław Fijałkowski, a student of Władysław Strzemiński. Leder is therefore deeply rooted in the avant-garde tradition of Łódź — a tradition that continues to suggest that it is worth pushing further, as far as possible, beyond the boundaries of what has been established and familiar.
