Artystka sztuk wizualnych, kuratorka, wykładowczyni akademicka. Prowadzi pracownie rysunku i grafiki na kierunku Edukacja artystyczna na Wydziale Pedagogicznym Uniwersytetu Ostrawskiego. Obecnie kończy doktorat na kierunku sztuki piękne na Wydziale Artystycznym Uniwersytetu Śląskiego. Absolwentka Instytutu Sztuki Uniwersytetu Śląskiego w Cieszynie – kierunku Edukacja artystyczna w zakresie sztuk plastycznych. Studiowała Malarstwo w pracowni Michaela Rittsteina w Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Pradze, dzięki uzyskaniu stypendium Funduszu Wyszehradzkiego. Ukończyła studia w zakresie kształtowania przestrzeni miejskiej na Wydziale Malarstwa na ASP w Warszawie. W trakcie rocznego stypendium w Portugalii na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa studiowała malarstwo.Jednak po latach artystka zamknęła się w pracowni, w domu, gdzie tworzy minimalistyczne, abstrakcyjne, bardzo kolorowe obiekty. Zrezygnowała całkowicie ze sztuki figuratywnej. Inspiracją dla jej twórczości jest również sztuka artepovera i koncepca teatru ubogiego Jerzego Grotowskiego, tylko, że w przypadku jej twórczości głównym aktorem występującym na scenie jest kolor – on jest znakiem rozpoznawczym artystki.
Tworzy wielkoformatowe obrazy, trójwymiarowe obiekty, rzeźby, instalacje. Zajmuje się sztuką publiczną. Jest także organizatorką konferencji i festiwali zajmujących się sztuką w przestrzeni publicznej. W ciągu ostatnich lat intensywnie bada sztukę najnowszą w Europie i na świecie, zwłaszcza w Czechach. Prowadzi działalność kuratorską w Ostrawie.
Visual artist, academic lecturer, curator. She teaches in the studio of drawing and graphics in the field of Art Education at the Faculty of Education at the University of Ostrava. She obtained a doctorate in Fine Arts at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Silesia. A graduate of the Art Institute of the University of Silesia in Cieszyn – art education. She studied Painting in the studio of Michael Rittstein at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, thanks to a one-year scholarship. She graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the field of urban space shaping. She also studied painting at the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa in Portugal, where she started creating large-format paintings for public space, then she also created objects, sculptures, and installations in this space. However, after many years, the artist locked herself in a studio, at home, where she creates minimalist, abstract, very colorful objects. She completely gave up figurative art. Her work is also inspired by the art of artepover and the concept of the poor theater of Jerzy Grotowski, but in the case of her work, the main actor appearing on stage is color – it is the artist’s trademark. Pienias creates whole worlds, using what is at her fingertips, uses simple, easily available materials, which she then paints with vivid colors.
