Kasia Fortuna jest artystką wizualną zajmującą się fotografią, malarstwem i wzornictwem. Jest absolwentką Wyższego Studium Fotografii na Wydziale Operatorskim Łódzkiej Szkoły Filmowej i Wzornictwa Przemysłowego w WSEiZ, w Warszawie. Najchętniej fotografuje ludzi. Często też wykorzystuje w swoich zdjęciach obrazy roślin, posługując się symboliką ich formy, koloru i fazy wegetacji. W swoich pracach często porusza problem alienacji jednostki w dobie konsumpcjonizmu. Ostatni cykl fotograficzny “Declining Beauty”, poświęciła zjawisku przemijania.
Kasia Fortuna is a visual artist working in photography, painting and design. She graduated from the Higher School of Photography at the Cinematography Department of the Łódź Film School and Industrial Design at the Warsaw School of Economics and Information Technology. She enjoys most portrait photography, often using images of plants in her photographs, drawing on the symbolism of their form, colour and stage of vegetation. In her work she often addresses the issue of individual alienation in the age of consumerism. Her latest photographic series, ‘Declining Beauty’, is devoted to the phenomenon of transience.
