Aleksandra Gieraga koncentruje się przede wszystkim na malarstwie, zwłaszcza wielkoformatowym, traktując obraz jako świadectwo stanu umysłu – emocjonalnego, egzystencjalnego, często intuicyjnego. Tworzy obrazy o otwartej strukturze, balansujące pomiędzy formą a zapisem procesu. Jej prace są próbą połączenia metafizycznej refleksji z fizyczną materialnością. Wystawia regularnie w Polsce i za granicą. Pracuje na macierzystej Akademii Sztuk Pięknych im. Władysława Strzemińskiego w Łodzi, gdzie prowadzi Pracownię Obrazu na Wydziale Sztuk Pięknych.
Aleksandra Gieraga focuses primarily on painting, especially large-format works, treating the image as a testimony of the state of mind – emotional, existential, often intuitive. She creates compositions with open structures, oscillating between form and the record of process. Her works seek to connect metaphysical reflection with the tangible materiality of paint. She regularly exhibits in Poland and abroad. She teaches at her alma mater, the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, where she runs the Painting Studio at the Faculty of Fine Arts.
